I’m delighted to say my friend Rona's wedding to her hunk of love Lee was one of my most raucous yet (our friend's rock!). The venue was the stunning Anstey Hall in Cambridgeshire - here are their wedding photos…Read More
I had it all with this wedding.
For a start Heacham Manor in Norfolk is fantastic for wedding photos. You’re 5 minutes from the beach and there’s a beautiful garden with a pond and rope swing. Don’t worry, the rope swing isn’t over the pond!
On top of that I had a lovely, chilled couple who looked effortlessly fantastic in front of the camera.Read More
Alex grew up in Oundle, so The Talbot Hotel was the perfect choice for their wedding. Well almost perfect, because Amanda is Canadian so her family had a bit of a trip! But then it’s a little hard to find a venue between Oundle and Ontario… Iceland perhaps…?!Read More
When I first met Tamsyn and Shaun I asked them to describe their wedding at Irnham Hall and Aslackby Church in 3 words.
Their answer was 'Fun' 'Fun' 'Fun'.
They sounded like my kind of couple!
And oh my giddy Aunt did they deliver on their promise! And so did their guests... ...and even the vicar! There were grenades, 7ft dinosaurs, glow sticks, Champagne spraying, synchronised umbrella throwing, vicar throwing (kinda) and Peaky Blinders... ...but more on all that later.Read More
I love creating wedding photos at Grange Farm because of the stunning countryside and the extremely friendly staff. From the moment I started Adam and Natalie's engagement photos I knew their wedding would be a doddle because they were complete naturals.
They were totally relaxed with each other and with the camera. Most people are a little apprehensive, but for these two I barely needed my magnetic charm, charisma and hilarious jokes (cough)...Read More
Two things leap out at me when I think back at Vicky and Paul's Bassmead Manor Barns wedding photos. Firstly they were quite possibly the two best and most natural and beautiful posers a photographer could wish for. Secondly Paul's speech was the best groom's speech I've ever heard.Read More
I probably shouldn't be quite so pleased with myself for causing a traffic jam on the A1, but I just can't help it... ...we all had so much fun - including the lorry drivers!
It's not our fault; weddings at Sibson Inn are right next to the A1 so drivers slow down to take a look - particularly when you do what we were doing...
There's no doubt about it, if you want a great view then you'll struggle to do any better than a wedding at Barnsdale Hall.
Perched on top of a hill overlooking Rutland Water this beautiful complex of lodges and historic hotel rooms creates a relaxing, natural setting.Read More
I knew this would be an awesome wedding to photograph from the moment I met Kristina. Ben wasn't at the initial chat, but Kristina booked me on the spot nonetheless.
Apparently this got her in a little bit of trouble when she got home, but Ben and Kristina have a rule...
...they each get to do one naughty thing each year which the other person can't shout at them for.
...Apparently I was Kristina's one!Read More
A year ago I didn't even know what SteamPunk was. But when Kirsty and Jules told me they were having a steampunk wedding at Normanton Church in Rutland I got pretty darned excited!
Think Mad Max... ...in a church!
Say whaaaaat!!??Read More
The morning started with a huge surprise... X-Factor runner up, Nicholas MacDonald was due to sing at the ceremony and in the evening.
The look on Olivia's face when I mentioned I'd seen him downstairs rehearsing was priceless. THE Nicholas MacDonald!! Really? Here? Check the photograph where she has tears in her eyes.Read More
If you're looking for a family portrait photographer then you’ve probably found it hard to choose between one service and another. I’ll give you some of the questions to ask and things to consider when selecting which photographer is the best fit for you.Read More
Grange Farm near Wansford is one of my new favourite venues for wedding photos. It's surrounded by beautiful countryside with lovely views over the rolling hills. This is ideal for a sunset shot at the end of your wedding.Read More
As one of the few photographers who offer trash the dress photos in Cambridgeshire (btw if you don’t want to trash it you can do a rock the frock session instead!), I’m always looking for new locations and creative ideas.
Although most of my trash the dress photos are created in Cambridgeshire I’ve been as far as The Peak District to use the beautiful waterfalls they have there.Read More
One of the many things Kim Coley and her amazing team do at Soul Happy is arrange Pay it Forward events that help and inspire the local community. Last week we were doing some random acts of kindness like giving food to the homeless and giving out cakes, hugs and professional massages at Serpentine Green.Read More
Having your wedding at Stoke Rochford Hall is like getting married in Downton Abbey. As you drive up the hill, flanked by lakes and a little water fall you periodically see Stoke Rochford Hall through the trees. Then, at the top of the hill you turn a corner and there it is below you - a sumptuously elegant wedding venue.Read More
Sometimes the stars align and everything comes together beautifully at a wedding. First and foremost Gavin and Emma were wonderful to work with. They loved bouncing ideas around and were excited about trying different photographs.Read More
I had so much fun creating this '300' themed photograph that will be used by a wonderfully strong and loving family to promote awareness and raise funds for cancer in children.
