‘Blessed’ is the word to describe Michael and Shannon’s wedding at Molecey Mill in Market Deeping, near Peterborough.

Of course they’re blessed to have found each other...

...They were blessed to have grabbed a booking at this stunning venue because they only do a very limited number of weddings each year...

...They were blessed with perfect weather - soft broken cloud in the day and golden sunlight in the evening...

...And I’m blessed to have been chosen to document their wonderful wedding.

There were so many highlights. Here are just a few of them…

Molecey Mill is actually the owner’s home and they have a beautiful Chocolate Labrador called Skye. She’s an absolute artist at stealing your thunder in the most hilarious ways! She walked in front of Shannon as she walked down the aisle, and during the exchanging of rings, and during the confetti. And she ate a sample of almost every guest’s dinner, including mine.

Speaking of the guests, the day time was very low key with only a couple of dozen people, but many more arrived for the evening. This meant the day time was super-relaxed and we could all take our time enjoying the venue, especially as the ceremony was an early one (midday).

There were several garden games, but despite my best efforts I couldn’t get the guests to commit to a wedding Olympics; although I did get a couple of the girls to use the bowling balls as shot-puts. As the balls hurtled through the air towards me I realised I may not have thought things through properly!

Molecey Mill has so many great spots for the romantic photos and since I’d not been there before I scouted the venue a couple of weeks earlier to plan my shots.

I can’t wait to be back because I could do 10 weddings there and still have more ideas for photos.
