The William Cecil wedding photos of Jack and Beth

When there’s dancing on the roof of The William Cecil then you know it’s a fun wedding!

I was delighted to book Jack and Beth’s wedding because I knew Beth’s mum through helping out at a charity ball to help The Phoenix School.

I knew it would be a fun wedding because when I asked them to describe their wedding in 3 words they said it would be fun, memorable and family-oriented.

Couple that with the beautiful William Cecil and you have the perfect combo of a fun couple and a great venue.

The William Cecil in Stamford is great for wedding for a number of reasons:

  • The staff are on the ball and really lovely

  • The beautiful rose and wildflower tunnel which is perfect for wedding photos

  • There’s a bandstand to enable you to have an outdoor wedding (although Jack and Beth’s was inside)

  • The ceremony room is festooned with lights which create a beautiful backdrop for the wedding photos

  • You’re a short walk from the entrance to Burghley House

  • The food is gorgeous!

  • The building is beautiful inside and outside

  • There’s plenty of room for lawn games

  • There’s plenty of parking and accommodation and you’re 5 mins walk from the centre of Stamford.

But back to Jack and Beth’s wedding…

… There was giggling in the rain as I dished out my umbrellas during the group photos.

…There were more tear drops than raindrops during the speeches

…There was magic and mayhem from the irrepressibly loveable Ricky Locke who got the guests fired up and laughing with magic tricks and games before the happy couple made their entrance for the wedding breakfast.

…I organised a ‘beer run’ where guests line up to see who can run to the beer first and claim their prize. As you can see there was some cheating…

…There were garden games in the sun once the rain subsided.

…Jack’s brother’s band played for the first dance and throughout the evening.

And there was plenty of funky dancing and drunken shenanigans throughout the night, including my signature ‘F1 style Prosecco spraying shot’.

A fantastic day for a wonderful couple who left me this awesome Google review…

“Dan is a wonderful wedding photographer with a great personality!
We booked Dan at the recommendation of my mum after she had been involved in charity events he had photographed and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice!

Dan makes the process leading up to the wedding easy with excellent communication and a wild mind of ideas with a portfolio of pictures to match.

On the day of our wedding Dan put us all at ease with his fun and quirky personality, he was a great hit with the guests and children at the wedding, megaphone in hand he had everyone rounded up for pictures with guests in quick fashion so everyone could continue enjoying their day.

Sadly, we had rain on our wedding day but this was not an issue as Dan thinks of everything and had umbrellas which made for great family pictures!

As well as umbrellas, Dan bought a ladder for the mass guest picture, a bottle of beer for the groomsman's beer run (Dan perfectly captured some cheating..!) and a bottle of bubbly for a twilight champagne pop - all of which had excellent outcomes!!

Overall we would thoroughly recommend Dan for a wedding, engagement shoot, family session or any event!”
