Sometimes the stars align and everything comes together beautifully at a wedding. First and foremost Gavin and Emma were wonderful to work with. They loved bouncing ideas around and were excited about trying different photographs.

Autumn is one of the best times for family photos in Peterborough because not only do the leaves look stunning but the sun hangs low in the sky to give your images a golden glow.

Now and then I'll have someone ask why they should do engagement photos. There are actually quite a few reasons which I explain in this blog post.

Today I ticked Romania off my ManKIND project. The ManKIND project is where I'm trying to do a random act of kindness for someone from every country on earth.

It was a cold and slushy February afternoon. The car wash was empty. After all, what idiot gets their car washed when the road is muddy with melted snow.

In fact, the whole reason I went to the car wash on a day like this was because I knew it would be quiet. I wanted it to be quiet so I had a few quick seconds to give the hard working guys there a box of Crispy Creme Doughnuts and grab a photo of them for my ManKIND project. 

Steve King was (and sometimes still is) a singer in the world famous soul band The Drifters. He used to live right here in Hampton (why on earth did he leave the sun-kissed shores of Miami!?)

This is the second portfolio session I have done with Steve. He asked me to update his portfolio as he said everyone was copying the images I did for him last time so he needed to stay one step ahead.

I'm beaming with pride at being chosen by Hitched and Photo Professional Magazine as one of the UK's top 10 wedding photographers.

I’ve gone international! I was honoured to be asked by 'The College of Dupage Photography Group' in Chicago to present a Webinar about how to run a professional portrait and wedding photography business.

I gave a little lecture and did a Q&A session about what it takes to be a full time photographer. I promise you it takes a whole lot more than just pressing the shutter button - honest!!

When I first started out I used to see a lot of tears and tantrums – and that was just the parents…!!

As time went past I quickly realised I’d need to learn some tricks for photographing children if I was going to get beautiful, natural images.

So, I started studying and today I’m going to reveal some of my secrets.
