Tint your black and white photos

27th March 2011
This Photoshop video tutorial explains a very quick and easy way to give your black and white photos a nice tint to make them more interesting.

I'm off to Istanbul on Wednesday night, so hopefully I'll have more ideas and some half decent photos to bring back. I'm going with my lovely visting Malaysian mother in law and brother in law, my mum and my wonderful wife: http://www.danwaterscreative.com/photo7516030.html

How easy is it to be a travel photographer when you take your family with you? I'll let you know...

You don't have to go somewhere exotic to make the most from your photography. Get out there and take some photos - it's spring, the flowers are out and it's so warm here in the UK my brother in law has started taking his gloves off when he goes to bed!

I currently have two of my spring photos on the front cover of Peterborough lifestyle magazines - both of which were taken while out for a random stroll. What better way to earn a living? The only downside was when I was composing this daffodil photo http://www.danwaterscreative.com/photo4740896.html and a white van man shouted "are you gay!" as he drove past. I don't think he meant gay as in happy, but I'm pretty pleased that same photo has netted me another front cover. My other cover photos this month is this Easter Bunny on the cover of Nene Valley Living: http://www.danwaterscreative.com/photo920158.html

Local magazines sometimes pay better than the nationals, so don't always think you have to aim for the top. I actually earn a bit more from Nene Valley Living than I do from the mighty CNN!

Warm regards
