I realise that calling myself 'The World's Most Helpful Photographer' is a rather brazen statement and I'm sure there are many more helpful photographers out there really. However, I'm always trying to think of ways I can be helpful and one of my latest ideas was to offer free photography for the families visiting my local dementia care home, Avery House in Hampton.

The sessions were completely free and I even offered a free framed portrait for the residents. I walk past that care home almost every day and I've often wondered if there was anything nice I could do for the residence. So, this was it.

Here are some of the photos I took of the residents and their families. I hope it brought a little happiness to them. Sadly, some of the residents were suffering quite badly from dementia. It broke my heart and I was glassy eyed through some of the sessions because I could see the impact it had on the families.
