Patrick and Kirsty's wedding photos

My wife finds it sweet that I often hold the door open for porters in hotels. A similar thing happened at Patrick and Kirsty's wedding. When I was scuttling round their house creating the bridal preparation photos Kirsty kept asking if it was ok if she did x or y. We had to keep reminding her that it was her wedding day and she could do what she wanted, when she wanted and how she wanted. But, that gives you an idea of how lovely she is and how great it was to be part of their wedding.

A few weeks before the wedding Patrick rescued me when my car battery died, so he's my hero too!

Their ceremony was at the wonderfully light and airy Holy Trinity church in Coates and the reception was at Bedford Hall in Thorney, with it's huge tower that can be seen for miles across the fens. I wish, wish, wish we were allowed up that tower!!

Here's a small sample of the wedding photos from the day. Enjoy. Younger viewers may be required to turn away when looking at one of the best man's speech photos... ...let's just say he uses an inflatable prop.

Patrick is roughly 23 feet tall so I spent most of the day on my step ladder or on tip toes (much to the amusement of the lovely bridesmaids!). My calves ached like a broken heart the next morning.

Patrick also has a very big heart and I think the photos show how much the day meant to him.

Here's the wonderful feedback I had from them (it nearly set me off!)

"What can I say other than thank you so so much. Your pictures are just stunning and everything that we could've wished for that tells the story of our wedding day. You were absolutely great and I'm so glad you were our photographer. We're over the moon with them. Love Kirsty and paddy xx"

I then created the video below for them (as a thank you for Patrick getting my car started) and I subsequently got this response:

"It’s awesome. We’ve never had anything like this before and with the music, it was just so clever and emotional for us. We absolutely love it. You really didn’t need to do anything for us at all but now you’ve done it, we’re so glad you did. Thank you so much. I sent it to my friend and she sent me this:-"

"OMG I’ve just had to log back in again…… you’ve just had me in floods of tears !! Your wedding video and pictures are the most beautiful I have ever seen – your photographer did an amazing job. If I ever find myself in a position that I’m getting married again (long shot I know but …), I would definitely use him. Just so lovely and his words on the photo page really set me off - just had to have a good cry lol !! Very emotional at the min ….. now going to get tissues xxx"

You can enjoy the photos by watching this video I created for them, or in the more traditional format below the video.
