Joe and Lizzie were every wedding photographer's dream client. Both families were so fun to be around and they all obviously and openly loved each other very much. Lizzie is an artist she appreciates photography and everyone was very relaxed in front of the camera. They saw the camera for what it is - a chance to have some fun and enjoy yourself and feel like a celebrity for the day.
The day started with the bridal preparations at Lizzie's parents home in Milton Keynes. Despite the rain pouring down everyone was in great spirits - nothing was going to phase this fab family on their special day.
I'd already scouted Waddesdon Manor so I new where all the best locations were for the romantic photos at the group photos. A lovely willow tree made a great spot for the groups because it protected the guests from the now scorching sunshine, but also let some light sparkle through in the background and off the water in the lake.
The group photos were extremely lively - I've rarely seen wedding guests have so much fun posing for the camera. I think the photos clearly demonstrate that!
I always try and find some shade for the group photos so people aren't squinting or suffering with any shadows under the eyes from the harsh directional sunlight.
We got on so well I was invited to Joe and Lizzie’s BBQ a few weeks after their wedding and they left me this lovely review:
“Dan was an absolutely awesome choice to have as our wedding photographer. From start to finish he has been an absolute joy to work with. He managed to en-capture our special day perfectly and all of our guests loved him as much as we do. We couldn't be happier with the final photos and we will enjoy looking at them for the rest of our lives! Thank you very much Dan,you've been brilliant! also if you don't quite like having your photo taken, Dan is perfect at capturing beautiful natural pictures of you! Not only did we choose a perfect photographer but we made a great friend. xxxxx”
