Secretary bird

Secretary bird
Their range is from Senegal to Somalia and south to the Cape of Good Hope. They look like a cross between an eagle and a crane and stand at around 4ft tall. Secretary birds are perfectly adapted for hunting their favourite food - snakes. The long legs keep their body away from snake bites, while their talons can rip the snake apart before consuming it.
Secretary birds live in open savannah where they strut for miles on end looking for prey.
