This is an example where I've broken the 'rules' of photography and not placed the horizon on the bottom third (according to the 'rule of thirds'. I think it still works as it's a minamalist shot that focuses on a row of distant trees and a sunset with a large fenland sky whisping overhead.
Simple, but in my humble opinion, pretty effective.
