Bath is one of the world's great cities and its listing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site confirms that its architectural beauty is amongst the very best.

The Royal Crescent is a notable residential road in central Bath. It is made up of 30 houses laid out in an elegantly curved crescent. It was designed by the architect John Wood the Younger and built between 1767 and 1774. It is amongst the greatest examples of Georgian architecture to be found in the United Kingdom and is a grade I listed building.
