COPYWRITING - £20 per 100 words

I write about many different things for many different people. However, I do have specialist knowledge in particular areas so I have outlined some of my strengths below:

Magazine copywriting - why should you choose me to write for your magazine or newspaper?
When I supply an article I can supply photos too, so you don't get the additional expense of hiring a separate photographer, or the cost and hassle of surfing through thousands of photos on online photo libraries.

I can spend a lot more time on you and your requirements than the vast majority of copywriters and photographers out there. Why? The reason is that I only take on a small amount of work at any one time, so I can devote my full attention to you and provide you with my very best work. I am a full time marketing copywriter for the RNID so I don't need to rush my freelance work to make ends meet. I do it because I enjoy it and that means you get fantastic value at just £20 per hundred words.

So what else makes me an experienced writer?
Well, I have 15 years of marketing copywriting experience so I know how to tailor the language and tone of articles so they engage your specific readership. I was the Editor of the UK's largest roofing magazine for 4 years and I have written articles about everything from roof tiles to security systems. However I have a particular interest and expertise in wildlife and travel.

What makes me a good travel writer?
You and I both know that travel writing is not about chronological travelogues, it's about stories. Travel writing is about telling a tale and painting a picture by using all your senses. The story should be about the place, not the writer. Done well, a traveller's tale should compel the reader to follow in your footsteps.
My particular area of expertise is Malaysia. This is due to my beautiful Malay wife Liza, pictured here: http://www.danwaterscreative.com/photo1914792.html who works for YTL Hotels and Properties. I have travelled all across Malaysia on seven occasions and witnessed many of the lesser known charms of this gorgeous country thanks to my fantastic inlaws.

What makes me a good wildlife writer?
I am a volunteer and Pro Bono photographer for the Wildlife Trust and a Froglife volunteer at my local reserve. I also regularly contribute wildlife articles to Nene Valley Living, my local lifestyle magazine (Take a look at my testimonial from the Editor at Nene Valley Living here: http://www.danwaterscreative.com/guestbook.htmlI am also an open water scuba diver with a dry suit certificate that gives me the dubious honour of being able to dive in freezing cold temperatures all over the world. Lucky me!

What makes me an experienced marketing copywriter?
I can write engaging and persuasive copy because I have done what most marketing people stop doing once they start working - I keep studying and keep learning. I have studied the very best copywriters in the world: Drayton Bird, Clayton Makepeace, Ted Nicholas and many others. I've learned their techniques, so please try me out now for your marketing copy before I start raising my prices. After all Clayton Makepeace is a multi-millionaire, but the methods he and his brethren use are simple. So by using me you will be getting the same techniques used by the very best but at prices that are dwarfed by Clayton's mammoth quotes.
