Photography course in Peterborough

I offer lots of photography, Photoshop and photography marketing tips in the 'Photo tips' section of this website. However, if you really want to improve your skills then I also run one-to-one photography training courses to help people in and around the Peterborough area improve their skills.

If you want to learn photography quickly the best way is to get your hands dirty by practising and getting one-to-one tuition from someone that speaks in plain English. Not only can I help you understand your camera and start to create good compositions, I can also help you use Photoshop to transform your photos like this:

The benefits of one-to-one photography tuition

1. You get all my attention and a course totally built around your needs. If you want to focus more on Photoshop skills then that's fine; but if you'd prefer to learn about wildlife photography I can do that too. I'm totally flexible.

2. I can put things in a simple language for you, cutting through all the jargon. I have spent 13 years as a copywriter so I'm used to making complex things sound simple and interesting.

3. I produce step-by-step sheets for you to take away so you can practice what you have learnt. These sheets are all included in the price.

4. You can learn in the field - you won't be stuck in a classroom, we'll go out and you can learn by example and by trial and error.

5. I can show you the best sources of information: handy websites and great photography books.

6. I can tell you the best places to find wildlife to photograph.

7. I can show you how to give your photos that extra punch by using PhotoShop, HDR software and other useful packages.

8. I can show you how to market yourself as a photographer if you decide you want to make money from it. Marketing has been my day job for about 13 years and I've studied (and still study) the art of photography marketing very thoroughly.

9. Unlike a college course you can dip in and out of the training and do as much, or as little as you want and for as long as you like. There are no ties at all and the course is 100% flexible to what you want.

10. I can get up at the crack of dawn and come with you to shoot great landscapes in the golden early morning light.

11. I started making money from photography within 3 years and I'm self taught, so imagine how quickly you could be taking professional quality photos.

12. I have two cameras and 3 lenses as well as all the software, filters, lights and other paraphanalia so if you don't have your own camera yet you can use mine while you build up your confidence.

13. If you want to take evening classes or a distance learning course that's fine, you can still use my services to help you get the best marks possible.

14. It's great value for money - in fact, consider it an investment as you could be making your money back before too long.

Photography tuition prices
You can either pay a session at a time at £30 per hour or you can save yourself some money and bulk purchase a series of lessons (payment would be taken in advance):

- 5 hours is £125
- 10 hours is £220
- 20 hours is £380

But don't hang around, these prices are not going to last very long as I'm getting busier. Bulk buy now and ensure you're getting these great prices long after my prices have gone up.

A photography course voucher makes a great birthday or Christmas present. I'll print and post you an attractive voucher on photographic paper at no extra charge - a lovely gift for anyone from complete beginners upwards.

I look forward to hearing from you and building you a photography course that's completely structured around what you want.

Photo comment By Helen Hill: I would be very interested in the 5 hour block lesson. When is the next course being held? Thank you. Helen Hell
